body art Flower Tattoos

The women of today have no qualms about going under the knife for vanity's sake. They are not scared of knives. Neither are they with needles. Tattooing is increasingly getting popular among women as more and more female celebrities flaunt their body accessories in the form of tattoos. What makes it so popular?

Tattooing is a form of self-expression. In this era, women have their say on just about anything and they have the freedom to do what they like. Unlike before when tattoos on women were looked down upon by society, it is now something women can be proud of. Tattoos mean strength, power, beauty and sensuality. And these are the things that women want.

Women generally favor more colorful, fun, and intricate tattoo designs such as butterflies, fairies, and flower tattoos which is probably the most sellable among women especially the younger ones. These tattoo designs bring out the beauty and sensuality in them. But there are men who also wear flower tattoos and this commonly symbolizes someone close to their hearts and may even be accompanied with a name or initials of that woman.

Dragonflies are not that popular in the early western culture. They associated these insects with the devil and in such practices as black magic. But in eastern culture, dragonflies are regarded positively. They represent happiness, peace, and harmony. For the Native Americans, they represent energy, activity and success.

However, in our generation, we do not always look at the traditional significance of things but by how we personally perceive things. Ask any woman today what comes to her mind when talking of dragonflies. Most of them would have an image of green fields or a garden of flowers, or of happy thoughts. For some, the wings of the dragonfly means ability to fulfill her dreams or to go to places she dreams of going to. It also conjures up images of passion, lightheartedness and being carefree. And dragonfly tattoos can do that and more.

If you really get down to it, it isn't a wonder why dragonfly tattoos are a sell-out for women. The reasons I have mentioned are just the reasons that I know of. Every person has their own opinion of things. Every woman who gets herself inked has her own reason why she did so and why chose such a design. Maybe her reason is quite different from mine.

Maybe the next time you see women sporting dragonfly tattoos, you can ask them why she chose them. Sometimes, the reason for having such tattoos is to make good conversation pieces out of them.

Sexy and body Butterfly Tattoo Designs For Women and Girls

Butterfly tattoo designs have always been a favorite among women and girls. It is definitely very feminine and girly at the same time. It can be pretty and symbolical without being overly design or sentimental. If done tastefully and artistically, it also has the capability to exude charm and sexiness in a woman. The butterfly has always been a favorite subject and inspiration in the visual arts so its no wonder that this creature always end up tattooed on a female's skin.

Butterfly tattoos is common choice for females looking to get tattooed the first time. For one, it does not need to be big to be bold and striking. It is beautiful and amazing on its own because of its wonderful hues and interesting details. Moreover, its meanings and symbolism are always parallel to what a woman is undergoing through in her life. Things like change, transformation, rebirth, freedom and new life are some common connotations of butterfly tattoos. The life process that a butterfly went through, that is emerging from an ugly cocoon to come out as this exquisite creature with colorful wings is one trait that a woman always admire about them.

A butterfly tattoo design is also very versatile and flexible as it looks great regardless of which part of the body they are inked. There was a time when tribal butterfly tattoos became really popular on the lower back of women that they end up being regarded as "tramp stamp". Nowadays, its not limited to that area anymore as women are trying to adorn other parts of their body such as the ankle, shoulder blade, arm, rib cage, back and wrist.

The butterfly can also be combined with other symbols to make them even more appealing. Aside from tribal art, it can also be blended with Celtic styles. It can also be mixed with other popular tattoo images such as flowers, stars, vines, fairies and angels. Of course, one is not limited to these symbols alone as there are lots of choices to explore. Just a little creativity and imagination is needed in order to come up with that perfect butterfly tattoo design that one would want to be tattooed on her forever.

Tattoos and Body Art on Hollywood Celebrities

Celebrity tattoos are becoming more and more visible and socially acceptable in mainstream pop culture these days. Angelina Jolie recently voted most sexy woman has plenty of tattoos and is probably the most famous and desirable celebrity with tattoos in Hollywood. Her tattoos to date consist of tribal dragons, a Thai tiger, and various Latin sayings across her shoulders and arms.

This surge in popularity of celebrity tattoos began in the 1960s. Lyle Tuttle the forefather of American tattooing tattooed Janis Joplin. Time was when tattoos were the preserve of those on the fringes of society but now it is not uncommon to see celebrity tattoos. Even super models such as Kate Moss and Sarah O'Hare strut around flashing their body art on the cover of glossy magazines or on the cat walk.

Actor Johnny Depp ranks as heavily tattooed for his caliber of talent and breadth of acting work. His tattooed arms are as often painted to be blank flesh as left with their own tattoos showing and incorporated into the character.

Vin Diesel is covered with a mix of modern tattoos styles, as befitting an underground government secret agent in the movie xXx. The character he plays agent X has one full sleeve, one partial sleeve, chest work and tattoos on his stomach.

As vampire slayer BLADE, Wesley Snipes has tribal blackwork on his arms, chest and back, as well as the sides of his head and the back of his nect. Pamela Anderson had her arm tattooed for real with a barbed wire armband for her role in the movie BARBWIRE. Following her split from husband Tommy Lee, (who is heavily tattooed) she had the "Tommy" tattoo on her finger edited to read "Mommy" in reference to her two sons. She also has tribal tattoos on the small of her back and a tattoo on her ankle.

Musicians have traditionally enjoyed more freedom than actors when it comes to body art. For movie stars having to transform into a different character each time they shoot a movie can be limiting especially if they are playing historical figures. But that has not stopped a lot of actors from getting tattooed in very visible places.

Historically rock stars were renowned for getting tattoos. The band Red Hot Chili Peppers are an example where the band members have a well-developed collection of tattoos. Singer Henry Rollins began his tattoo collection as the lead singer of Black Flag. Eminem continues to add to his tattoo collection but some critics have claimed that it will inhibit him if he wants to play a bigger acting role. Eminem's tattoos are a combination of a style that is typical of Hip Hop and R&B artists such as Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent and Pharrel

Tattoo and Body Art of Africa

Body Art may have become a popular fashion statement in the recent times, but its origin has been traced to many ancient times and has been very popular in different regions of the world among various cultures and tribes. It has been seen that every culture and race in the world has something unique about it that gives it a unique identity. Body Art or Tattoo has been one such form which has been exclusive to that particular tribe or race of people.

Men and women both sported such body art and the designs and patterns created were usually symbolic of their gods or other divine forms that they used to worship and follow. Some designs were also believed to have marked battles or ancestral relationships with their gods or forefathers and sometimes of reincarnation. Women would get tattooed, often after their marriage to mark their dedication to their husband and children. Thus a persons body art used to tell a lot about the person.

However the body art patterns differed from region to region and from tribe to tribe. This is because every civilization has its own cultures and traditions, and accordingly has its specific symbolization which were depicted through tattoos and body art. For example the tattoos of African origin differed greatly from those of the Mayan or Polynesian origin. But in the modern day as the cast and race barriers have broken down, the different patterns and designs of different origins are being merged to create great tattoos and body art. The art styles of every ancient civilization is being studied and worked upon to create excellent patterns and styles for the latest trends.

Tribal Butterfly Tattoo Beautiful Body Art

Tribal Lower Back

One of the more popular types of ink is the tribal butterfly tattoo. Unlike the traditional butterfly tattoo, which is usually "pretty", the tribal style butterfly tattoo tends to be more design oriented by nature. This is not to say that they are not beautiful. Many designs are elaborate and very sexy.

There are many options available for a tribal butterfly tattoo. This is one of the huge benefits of using the tribal design incorporated into traditional tattoos. First of all, the chances of seeing someone else with the same tattoo will be drastically reduced. Plus, you can incorporate other symbols or patterns into your design to add depth to the meaning of your tattoo.

Another thing to consider is that if you get a tribal butterfly tattoo, you don't have use colors if you don't want to. One color tattoos, black work or black and gray work are often the top choice for some. Over time, some inks fade. There have been great advances to eliminate this problem, but it will always exist due to poor quality inks, inexperienced tattoo artist or even skin pigmentation.

Some people think that females are the only ones attracted towards the tribal butterfly tattoo, but I've actually seen some great pieces that were inked on men. I'm not sure that I would go that route myself, but hey that's the great part about tattoos. You can express yourself in any way that you want to. Usually tribal tattoos have a masculine energy about them because of their bold, thick lines. But in the case of the tribal butterfly tattoo, for example, they are versatile and they tend to look very good on women as well.

here are many things that a tribal butterfly tattoo can symbolize, and there are many variations. Now I'm not so sure that they hold magic powers, but in some cultures, still to this day, tribal tattoos are believed to posses such power. For example, in some tribes, a boy is assigned a totem animal during his rites of passage. Their belief is/was that the wearer inherits some of the powers of his totem animal by wearing a tattoo of such animal.

Aside from enjoying the tattoo making it can help you obtain additional income by rendering service for body art. However, make sure that you know all the procedures and equipments used before you venture in tattoo making.

This form of body art lets you express yourself through the designs inked in your body. However, before you decide to pick one, it is ideal that you make wide choices. Likewise, it is also important that you determine what design would represent best your character and personality. Remember to select a design that has a meaning relevant in your life or has significance to you.

the History of body full Tattoos

Tattoos are created by inserting colored materials beneath the skins surface for decorative or other reasons. Many people use tattoos as a type of decorative modification. Many different cultures use tattoos for different purposes such as status or religion. Tattoos on animals are most commonly used for identification purposes. Whatever the reason behind it, people have been making tattoos for over 5000 years. The word tattoo comes from the Tahitian word tattau, which means "to mark". Tattooing was rediscovered by Europeans when exploration brought them into contact with American Indians and Polynesians.

A wide variety of tattooing methods developed in different cultures. Many Indian tribes routinely tattooed the body of the face by simple pricking and some tribes in California introduced color into scratches. Actual needle punctures were used in eastern Siberia which made needle punctures through a thread coated with pigment, usually soot, and drawn underneath the skin. The people of New Zealand applied there wood carving techniques to tattooing. In Micronesia and Polynesia, pigment was pricked into the skin by tapping on a tool shaped like a small rake.

Ritual and tradition have been common and constant factors in tattooing. In some societies, as when family crests or tribal symbols were used, tattoos helped identify bands of people. During the Victorian era, the modern tattoo machine was fist invented and patented. That design is pretty much the same today. In Borneo, women bore a symbol on their arms to denote their specific skills, thus increasing their potential for marriage. Tattoos worn around the fingers and wrists were said to ward off illness. In other societies, criminals were marked so others would clearly know who they are. For some, the purpose of tattoos was generally centered on becoming more in tune with nature or the divine, or was believed to bestow the wearer magical abilities and blessings as well as ward off demons or even bring about better health.

For a brief time in the early 1700s, tattooing, which was a costly and lengthy procedure, became a status symbol and only the wealthy could afford to have it done. All of that changed with the invention of the first electric tattoo needle in 1891. Then, everyone who wanted a tattoo could have one which resulted in them being considered vulgar. After all of that, tattoo art went "underground". Tattoos finally became desirable once again after designs and safety techniques improved and several celebrities began sporting them.

If anything, the history of tattooing shows us the mindset of our ancestors and what was important at that time. The nature of tattooing is now more cosmetic rather that ritualistic, showing individuality and the use of the body as a canvas for art. As for the future of tattooing, we will just have to wait and see.

Tattoo and Body Piercing

I would like to share with you a personal story of mine with the hopes that it will prevent you from making the same mistakes that I have.

When I was seventeen years old I wanted my first tattoo. My parents would not approve of me getting one. So I had to find someone that would tattoo a minor without parental consent and who would do it cheap. It didn't take very long. I met a really nice guy who said that he did tattoos at his house. He said that he would do the tattoo for $45. Sold!

The next week there I was in his living room as he finished setting up his machine. Which was made with an infant tooth brush, a ball point pen, a motor out of a cheap remote control toy car, a paper clip, a sewing needle, and a nine volt battery. I was intrigued. What an awesome piece of machinery. No I'm not being sarcastic. I really was impressed with the whole set up. I paid attention to how he made this machine, because I fully intended on making my own machine just like that. I got the tattoo on my chest and cheese and crackers did that hurt. He did the entire tattoo with a single point, dull ass sewing needle. I mean everything, even the shading.

I had a new love in my heart and a new tattoo. I thought the tattoo looked good, and I suppose it did if you compare it to the one I soon gave my girlfriend which was supposed to look like a butterfly but looked more like I snorted the tattoo ink then blew my nose on her.

I also thought that I could do body piercings. I did my best to make forceps with paper clips and anything else that I could bend into something resembling a triangle. Needless to say I rarely even got the needle through the person not to mention I never could follow the needle through with jewelry.

Luckily I've never been a part of spreading Hepatitis or HIV, I do mean luck too because the only reason I didn't is because I never came in contact with anyone who had them. The ball point pen that acted as my tip and tube was never changed between tattoos. I thank God every day that my ignorance didn't cause anyone to loose their life. I still, of course, have the tattoo that I got for $45. I refuse to cover it, it serves as a reminder to me to always research everything I want to do in life and never to rush into anything. It also swells up every time it's going to rain so it serves as a nice forecaster.

Nearly twelve years have gone by and I still love tattoos and body piercings to this day. I don't work in a tattoo shop, and I have never been an apprentice anywhere. I do still do tattoos out of my house for friends. All of which do tattoos on me. We do it as a hobby and we do not charge money. We never tattoo anyone outside of our circle. We often have people ask us. We refer them to local professional shops. I have professional tattoo and body piercing supplies. Which includes an autoclave!!! I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on training videos, books, and e-books.

If you want to learn to do tattoos I strongly recommend that you do it by the book and go get an apprenticeship with someone with years of experience. If that is not an option for you, please do not jump in and start tattooing people. Read some books, watch some videos. Learn about blood born pathogens and sterilization. Practice on practice skins, not people

fire Fighter Tattoos style body Tattoos in Mixed Martial Arts

You may have noticed the massive amount of ink which cage fighters sport in mixed martial arts events. Fighters have different styles of ink for different reasons, some personal and some related to fighting. Here are some common cage fighter tattoos.

Star Tattoos.

Star tattoos are common cage fighter tattoos. Star tats have a long history to them, dating back to men in the navy who would get nautical stars as a symbol of direction and finding their way safely back home. Some fighters have gotten stars for similar symbolism: safely and successfully making it through a battle.

Tribal tattoos.

Tribal tats are common in mixed martial arts. There's the warrior aspect to tribal tats which attract many fighters to get large and intense tribal designs. Tribal tattoos have specific meaning and history as well. Maori, Haida and Polynesian designs are some of the most popular.

Cross Tattoos

Cross tats are fairly common in mixed martial arts. Many fighters thank God after their victories, hence there is a lot of religious symbolism which fighters want to place on their body. Crosses can be found on chest, arms and even calves.

Flame tattoos.

Flame tats are common for fighters. They stand out and usually accompany other designs, but sometimes stand on their own. Flames can have many meanings. Fire can symbolize everything from rebirth to going through battle, "through the flames". Purifying or cleansing is another meaning which some fighters get to symbolize their discipline and dedication to martial arts and how it provides a cleansing effect to their lives.

Scorpion body art tribal Tattoos

So you have decided to get a tattoo. You understand that getting a tattoo is a onetime big time, for keeps kind of deal and you have accepted the consequences of changing your mind and having it removed. So you go out and decide to get Scorpion Tattoo designs. But before you do that, here is some information on what exactly do Scorpion tattoos mean:

* We all know that scorpions are nasty little buggers that have equally nasty stingers. One of the reasons perhaps, why people always opt or a scorpion tattoo design is to show to others that they can put up a good fight if they are forced to regardless if they look puny.

* Tattoo artists have always opted for an all black color design when it comes to scorpion tattoos as it looks tougher and nastier. Although colored scorpion tattoos look god as well; as it gives the design a softer more feminine feel and look.

* There are a lot of varying reasons why people always opt for scorpion tattoos. There are people who go out to a tattoo artist and request a scorpion design simply because their zodiac signs are Scorpio. There are people who get it because of the fact that scorpions are fierce and brave creatures and they look really tough. Since the main purpose of getting a tattoo is to represent a person's inner personality, and another reason is that scorpions can arouse a lot of your artists' creativity.

* There are people who go for this specific tattoo design who would want to let the world know that they are the type of person who always mean business. But having scorpion tattoos do not always connote a tough and dangerous side. It is a known fact, that scorpions, by nature also have a soft side which is why this design is also popular among women.

Women who prefer having a Scorpio design tattooed would most commonly have it done on their ankles or on their belly button area, which send out a message that they are tough but they do posses a softer and more feminine side. Men, on the other hand would most often prefer to have the scorpion design tattooed on their arm or leg which allows them to send a message of strength to other people. Men would always most probably go for a larger design to show off their masculinity.

* It is well known that scorpions are almost always living and can be found in desert areas so the image of a scorpion tattooed in a person's body would give the message that they can live through tough times in their lives and will always come out stronger and a survivor. This sends out a statement that they can live through tough moments and they are perfectly capable of coming through difficult situations and remain strong. The scorpion also symbolizes power and an unstoppable force that send a clear message that size never matters to them.

Body Tattoos - An Artistic Expression Inspired by Life Itself

Maybe some people could define a body tattoo just as a simple drawing in a skin, others think is an unnecessary action of mutilate the skin of an human being for no reason... but people like me could think that a tattoo means nothing more than an expression of a soul, a living experience, an unforgettable journey that marked an individual life forever and this individual wanted that experience being marked on his/her skin and people can see it, as well contemplate it.

And when we get to the decision of having our first dermagraphic design, or maybe our next one, is really important to know that: A tattoo design of your choice is a permanent commitment with yourself. 1: A loss of a love one, or the birth of a new love one.

2: A passion for something, from animals, cultures, music, etc..

3: An act of a commitment, loyalty, Pride..

There's so many ways that we want to express our self, be identified, and the art of derma pigmentation, or tattoo, has been a way that many people been using for centuries to express their roots, culture and feelings, as well.

I am an artist for so many years, and every art i do has its own signification, its own meanings, and the beautiness and originality came from each customer i have treat it, because i understand that sometimes, we have some idea in our mind that we want to realize it in our skin, but we need to visualize images or different styles of arts so our mind get that boost of creativity, or even catch up the style of art that we are looking for.

Body Art Designs - Examining the Rose and Symbolic Meanings of Color

The rose is very popular in body art designs for both men and women. It represents love, birth, and death -all of the elements nature embodies. The rose itself is fragile yet endures the heat of the sun and drought in the summer, survives torrential floods, lies dormant through harsh winters to be reborn in the spring as strong and vibrant as ever.

Color Representation
Dark Red- Represents unconscious beauty
Common Red- Love, beauty, purity, respect and everything romantic

Coral- This color indicates hidden desire laying dormant within

Blue- A rose of this color is considered rare, and so represents impossibility

White- Symbolizes innocence, youthfulness, reverence and will often celebrate children and purity of heart

Yellow- Represents achievement and friendship

Black- Depicts death, remorse and sadness of loss

Flower body art designs are so popular because they are versatile. The lotus is another favorite, yet the rose continues to thrive as the most chosen. When depicted with its Barbary thorns, one is reminded of life's trials and tribulations. True beauty must overcome adversity in order to rise to the surface, often being pricked along the way.

A rose tattoo can begin with a simple bud to represent re-birth or a new beginning in life and be added to as you grow and develop. It can represent a family, adding a bud for each member and eventually evolving into a bouquet symbolizing a unity. Each color could also represent a birth month as well. The choice is yours.

Flowers are promoted in body art designs for this reason of versatility and never ending possibilities. Combine the rose with a butterfly, heart, just about anything you can imagine and you have a custom tattoo.

Men often add dragons, daggers and other animals symbolizing strength such as the lion or panther. Arm bands are popular with barbed wire entwined around rose buds and Celtic designs.

A small rose on the back of the neck is often chosen, only to be revealed when the hair is worn up. Women choose this location when their occupations frown upon body art designs. This is common, as tattoos have yet to be accepted in many industries.

People choose hidden locations for other reasons as well. Perhaps they wish to keep a design wholly personal for religious or other reasons.

Choosing to wear body art is definitely a personal choice and one some people have no desire to explore this world. Others become addicted to it and the whole body becomes a canvas. Either way, it is indeed an art, and in the hands of a good artist can become masterpieces in themselves.

One thing to remember about body art designs is choosing wisely, as they are for the most part permanent. By choosing designs that have significant meaning in your life you will, hopefully, ensure no regrets later on.

Whatever tat image a woman go for, it will be forever a definition of a part of her personality. If she wants to express it right, she should get something that has significance and personal meaning to her. Here are some of the most popular and favored tattoo designs that women usually go for.

Body Suit Tattoos - An Inked History

Abstract tattoo designs began to flourish in the eighteenth century even though they range as far back in design as 10,000 BC in Japan. These nearly full coverage tattoos known as the "body suits" first originated around 1700 DC as a reaction to the strict laws concerning obvious displays of great wealth.

At that time only the most noble were allowed to display and wear fine clothing. The middle class which mostly consisted of general labourers, were forbidden to adorn themselves and wear fine clothes.

As the middle class were denied permission to show any adornment, they used an alternative method and chose tattoos. It is believed the "body suits" were derived from samurai warrior's sleeveless campaign coats. These coats usually displayed heroic designs on the back such as symbols of great bravery and pride. Sometimes even perhaps a guardian or a dragon. Tattoo designs began on the back and continued to extend to the arms, shoulders, thighs and eventually the entire body.

If one tattoos over the entire front of their upper bodies, with the exception of a vertical strip from the chest to the abdomen, this gives the effect or illusion of an unbuttoned vest or "body suit".

The growth of the "body suit" also coincided with the growing popularity of the fictional tattooed heroes. Near the end of the eighteenth and the start of the nineteenth centuries illustrated by the works of fiction was imported from China created both the inspiration and desire for tattoos.

It wasn't until the woodblock prints of the heroes that were illustrated by Utagawa Kuniyoshi were published in the early to mid nineteenth century that it gained huge popularity. These images were highly influential to the world of tattoo designs and still remain in use today.

It's no wonder that tribal butterfly tattoos are seen often taken that both tribal and butterfly tattoo are so popular. As we see online, the symbolism that surrounds these designs is quite interesting and probably adds to their popularity. Butterflies often represent rebirth, renewal, perseverance, rejuvenation and the soul. While the tribal tattoos normally represent a person's identification with a cultural heritage, belief, or practice and perhaps an allegiance to a specific social group or culture.

We may often see ideas like Polynesian tattoos, Celtic tattoos, Japanese tattoos, Filipino tattoos, or even Maori tattoos; they are under the criteria of Tribal Tattoos. Tribal tattoos are normally found to be abstract in form and black in shade however due to their recent popularity many of them are now done in different colors.

Some of the most interesting designs available are these types of tattoos because of the artistic nature of the design. When viewing a tattoo of this type your eyes are involuntarily drawn to the central icon of the design which is the butterfly. Some of the designs are so intangible that perhaps you may not make out the butterfly at first glimpse. And this is what makes the tattoo more attractive and often draws attention to the wearer.

Similar to numerous butterfly designs, tribal butterfly tattoos look wonderful when placed in the lower back area. And what's more is that the tribal ones look good on both men and women. As with all tattoo designs it's important to follow the guidelines is to start with an image that has clean, clear lines. You have to make sure the image has smooth curves.

The curves should not be too near to one another otherwise the tattoo artist may have difficulty applying the design. You can get a Xerox copy of the image in the exact size you want it placed on your body. This is very important because a design that looks great in a large size might not be appropriate as a smaller tattoo because the image may lose too much detail.

Angel Wing Tattoos All Have Different Meanings - Learn How to Choose the Right One

It's very common to see people sporting angel wing tattoos these days. There are many reasons for this. Some people get them for spiritual or religious reasons, some do so because they like the symbolism in general, and some do so because they simply find angel wings to be cute or pretty.

These tattoos can come in many forms and sizes. Some angel wing tattoos span an entire arm or back, while others are tiny enough to fit on ankle or wrist. It's up to you which size you get, as it is all about personal preferences. Some people don't want a giant tattoo covering a large portion of their bodies. Smaller ones are easier to hide and many people find them to be more attractive.

Even more popular than angel wing tattoos are images of full-bodied angels. Sure, the wings are very cute, but an entire angel depicts whatever it is you want them to represent. The design can be of an angel smiling and being happy, or of a guardian angel. Some tattoos can be of a fierce looking fallen angel. And, of course, cute little cherubs are always popular tattoos.

Despite being identified as powerful beings serving God, many people interpret them in a variety of ways. Some view guardian angels as a powerful class in heaven, because of everything they do to protect the living. When people choose large angel wing tattoos, they sometimes have a guardian angel in mind. This is because a large wing covering our backs could be considered to be symbolic for protection.

Any discussion about angels without a mention of the cute cherub angel is sad. Everybody knows that the cherubs are all about love. Even though Cupid was a Roman god, he's still drawn in the form of a cherubic angel. There are many people who love this character and get him as a tattoo. Cherubs are often portrayed as chubby, happy, and cute.

Over the past couple of decades, angel wing tattoos inspired by the fallen angel have become quite popular. The fallen ones are those who have been banished from heaven for rebelling against God. Lucifer, of course, is the most well known of these fallen angels. Instead of getting a red devil tattoo, some people choose to get him drawn in his fallen angel form. These designs can depict a sad, lonely, anguished being, often slumped or even chained. Some are drawn as looking fierce and rebellious, with black wings rather than white.

Archangel tattoos are becoming more popular. These beings are believed to be God's elite warriors. Thus, they are often depicted as wearing armor and even holding weapons. Michael and Gabriel are the most well-known of the archangels, and are often memorialized as tattoos.
